The Sewers - 11:54 - Before the events of Capture The Flag

The moon escalated higher into the sky as a certain reptilian wandered the sewers investigating some strange muddy tracks. So far she had been following for about 45 minutes now, But she stayed persistent.

Several times she had lost the track and several times she had found it again,She let out a small yawn as her hand waved over her mouth. Her eyes half open from fatigue, And her mouth was dry from being parched.

She licked her lips to keep them moist and picked up the pace, Seeing a faint light ahead. Her heart lit up with hope. It took a while for her eyes to adjust even though the light was very faint. But her heart was racing thinking about what could lie ahead.

Unawares the faint growth of illuminating fungi was leading an unknown towards his lair Leatherhead hummed, the deep rumble of it filling his home sitting on his tail the rest curled about him as he was carefully using his claws to scrap growth of the fungi off of the old brick work, tidying the edges and then scraping the resulting much off his claws on a square chuck of concrete he had found this one when the fungus grew would be added to the path made by misc masonry to his home outside to light the way.

Mostly for his human friend. He himself could find his way easily.

Kovu felt something strange underfoot but kept walking, The light getting stronger. Once her eyes adjusted better and she saw..A train wreck? She heard scraping but still dared to wander closer.

Her tail swiped back and forth, knocking over a soda can with a loud crunch sound. she jumped up a bit but didn't yell. She would Wai for the scraping to stop to tell if whatever it was would notice her.

Keeping a protective stance, Her mind began to run with the possibilities of what it could be, Kovu looked determined but her eyes portrayed her fear. She took a few more steps closer, Forcing herself to keep a straight face.

Humming, so far still oblivious Leatherhead wakes sure his claws where scraped clean of the gunk and shifts his great tail as he stands stretching himself.

He had been in the cramped spot for some time working on maintaining his garden of fungus.

Though a loud scraping sound caught his attention and the big gator turned his head in the direction blinking - a faint scent -

mmmm He shifts and walks in the direction. "Hello, I can scent you are there... some one I don't know - show yourself.... I will not attack unless given reason to."

The reptilian froze up upon being located but decided confrontation was the last thing she needed tonight, So she took a deep breath, And cautiously walked into the clearing.

"My name is Kovi Malandro, S- Sorry for trespassing.."Her skin looked illuminated under the mushroom light and her dark brown locks fell bellow shoulder length, Due to the fact that she lost her hair and navigating through sewage.

Her icy blue eyes scanned the train cars carefully for a figure, Or a shadow of some sort to identify. But alas, She could only see through a broken window. Sighing, She stayed.gpued to her position, Her heart was pounding in her chest like a wild animal that needs to be free. She just hoped this wild animal wouldn't hurt her.

Leatherhead emerged - he looks over the newcomer, a mutant like himself.

Not a lost human.

He does not come too close as he knows he is a very large mutant gator and he could be imposing and so he does his best right now to not look it. Curling his tail and sitting on it to take some of the length off his bulk... sort of.

"Hello, this is my den...Are you lost?"

The reptilian's icy blue eyes widened at the sight of the gator, The first question that ran through her mind was 'There are other mutants?!' But she kept her mouth shut, Not wanting to ask a question with another question.

A angry alligator was the last thing she needed.

"N- No." She stuttered, Not wanting to lie "I saw your tracks and mistaked them for someone else's.." She sat down pretzel style the low light made her eyes even brighter than her skin.

He was trying to not appear intimidating and watches the smaller mutant female with an interested gaze. However he rumbles out a low chuckle and nods. "Where you looking for someone in particular? Maybe someone lost here in my tunnels too perhaps?" He wonders kindly, perhaps he could help?

Though he had not smelled nothing of interest. Heard or seen any new sites that would suggest that there was someone new other than this sudden appearance of this small female lizard were here.
